Juvet Landscape Hotel

Juvet Landscape Hotel
Hospitality Rebrand

This project is a rebrand of Juvet Landscape Hotel, located on the northwest coast of Norway. The challenge was that Juvet was positioned more as an architectural icon than a hospitality brand. I was drawn to the hotel and its surrounding landscape, and saw an opportunity to update the branding to reflect its full potential better.

Before and After

The original logo was very square and rigid, which felt limiting. My goal was to create a more cohesive identity that expands the Juvet experience beyond architecture—one that communicates calm, retreat, and a sense of intentional slowness.

For the rebrand, I moved away from a contained shape and instead designed a more open, vertical system that echoes the surrounding pine trees and the way the landscape is framed through the windows.

Color System

Color-wise, the interiors at Juvet are intentionally dark to keep the focus on the views outside. I carried this idea into the graphic system by using deep, muted tones with subtle pops of color—reflecting how color appears throughout the hotel in a restrained and understated way.

Graphic System

Many of my early logo sketches evolved into core brand elements that were integrated into the final identity. This process led to a cohesive and adaptable design system that extends seamlessly across applications.

Book

I designed two booklets that operate at different scales. The larger booklet focuses on the hotel’s architecture and philosophy, while the smaller booklet functions as a story-driven companion inspired by Trollstigen, a historic road near the site associated with Norwegian folklore about trolls.

Spatial

Website
The website translates the brand into a digital experience, using generous spacing and minimal typography to reflect the stillness of the surrounding landscape. Content is revealed slowly and intentionally, allowing users to move through the site in a way that echoes the pace of the hotel itself.
